Exchange for Ukraine
One-third of Ukraine’s freshwater storage has been destroyed since February 2022. The damage to the WASH sector is estimated at nearly $4 billion and the total reconstruction and recovery needs at $11.1 billion for 2024-2033.
Whilst funding and equipment will be essential for the rebuild of the sector, expertise and knowledge will be vital too!
The Exchange for Ukraine Program, initiated by Leading Utilities of the World a network of the developed world’s best performing and most innovative water and wastewater companies and Mykolaiv Water Hub, facilitates peer-to-peer knowledge sharing between American and Ukrainian water utilities.
