for critical infrastructure of Ukraine

MYKOLAIV

Development and resilience of the critical infrastructure

Since April 2022, Mykolaiv’s population of half a million people has been cut off from reliable water supply after the Russian army deliberately destroyed the 70 km long water main that provided fresh water from the Dnipro River to the city. Additionally in June 2023 due to the destruction of the Kakhovka Dam, the water intake facility on the Dnipro River was flooded and destroyed.

We are turning these challenges into chances!

Our goal at Mykolaiv Water Hub is to bring together the strengths and expertise of municipalities, water utilities, companies, startups, and universities to transform the South of Ukraine into a leading region for water-related industries, research, and education.

We are working diligently to develop Mykolaiv into a flagship city of innovative solutions and to become a blueprint for green and sustainable reconstruction, and human capital development.
